TOUR ITINERARY
Night 1: Hotel – Hanoi train station
Pick-up at hotel and escort to Hanoi train sation for night train to Lao Cai.
Overnight on train.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Can Cau Saturday market – Bac Ha (B,L,D)
Arrive at Lao Cai Train station at about 06.30. Take a transfer to Can Cau market, where 6 hill tribes are there such as: Flowery H’mong, Phu La, Black Dzao… The local H’mong wear traditional costumes that are so gaudy and heavily embroidered that the Chinese, the French and the Vietnamese have nicknamed them the ”Flowery H’mong”
Back Bac Ha for overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Bac Ha Sunday Market – Sapa (B,L)
Visit Bac Ha Sunday is the largest market in region and one of the most interesting ethnic markets in Vietnam and possibly everywhere in South East Asia: “Sunday is market day in Bac Ha, which is the occasion for the various local ethnies to gather in huge crowds to exchange the last news, gossip, shop, and eat a copious lunch”. It was visibly a festive event.
In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people).In the village we can have a look in their house and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. And then we drive back to Sapa for 3 hours.

Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel then embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H’mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages.
Return to Sapa and then to Lao Cai railway station by car. The guide sees you off there and takes you on the train.
